The Honorary Consul General of Japan in Idaho, Ed Klopfenstein, assists the Consular Office of Japan in Portland in the protection of Japanese interests in southern Idaho. The Honorary Consul General’s role is to deepen the mutual understanding and friendship between the United States and Japan and to further strengthen regional ties with Japan.
