Step Grant
The State of Idaho has received a State Trade Expansion Program (STEP) Grant of $207,945 for program years September 30, 2020 – September 29, 2021. STEP is funded in part through a grant with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and is administered by Idaho Commerce. The goals of STEP are to increase the number of small businesses that export, increase the value of exports and increase the number of small businesses exploring significant new trade opportunities.

2020 Idaho Manufacturing Industry
Manufacturers in Idaho account for 12.00% of the total output in the state, employing 9.29% of the workforce. Total output from manufacturing was $9.24 billion in 2018. In addition, there were an average of 70,000 manufacturing employees in Idaho in 2019, with an average annual compensation of $72,439.44 in 2018.
Hundreds gather in Boise to stand in solidarity with Asian-Americans
BOISE, Idaho — Tuesday, March 23rd at 6:30 p.m. Several hundred people turned out in Boise to honor the lives lost in Atlanta, GA. The vigil was held at Anne Frank Memorial in downtown Boise and also recognized victims of Asian hate crimes — crimes that have seen a 150% increase since the beginning of 2020.
